A program that provides youth (ages 15 and up) with opportunities to learn science and technology directly with reliable scientists. During the summer period FSL will be focusing on Sciencenter Summer Camp
Future Science Leaders Camp are an innovative form of “edutainment” (entertainment + education). Combining fun with learning, each camp contains an educational theme that keeps student engaged from day to day. All activities are related to one big theme, therefore student stay focused on one subject matter, solidifying the concept.
Future Science Leaders Camp curriculum is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to enhance the cohesiveness of our Indonesian students’ science education. We understand the importance of having fluidity between what is learned in the classroom on a daily basis and what student experience through our engaging programs.
For many years Nano Center Indonesia has been developing and designing campaigns that focus on bringing awareness to important science and technology awareness. These campaigns will help students in Indonesia be more conscious and appreciative of the environment and the world they live in. We have created campaigns for classrooms and national corporations alike!
Experiential learning is a process through which students develop knowledge, skills, and values from direct experiences outside a traditional academic setting. Experiential learning encompasses a variety of activities including internships, service learning, undergraduate research, study abroad, and other creative and professional work experiences. Well-planned, supervised and assessed experiential learning programs can stimulate academic inquiry by promoting interdisciplinary learning, civic engagement, career development, cultural awareness, leadership, and other professional and intellectual skills.
Future Science Leaders Camp is a program where promising scientist teach and inspire Indonesian students to explore Science and Technology course. Students learn science basics, build exciting projects, and develop strong relationships with mentors in the field. Our first Science Leaders Camp is our largest event, introducing 200 high school students to science/technology with the help of 10 inspirational PUSPIPTEK mentors. We also host several smaller events throughout the year, including workshops, internship, and company tours, to encourage continued engagement and to help students further explore their passions.
